As Chair I have overall responsibility for ensuring that LACO meets its obligations to the game in Lancashire. This includes leading the Officers to deliver an excellent service to our members and the Leagues we serve. I also lead on the relationships we have with external parties including the Lancashire Cricket Federation (LCF) and the ECB Officiating Department.

Having played league cricket for over 40 years my club needed a “club umpire” when they joined a new league. This coincided with being unable to get out of bed the morning after a game, so I hung up my Captaincy boots and put on the white coat.

It’s the greatest game in the world what’s not to enjoy! In officiating having started “too late” and reached my potential, I now enjoy helping other umpires reach theirs.
